Process Quick Scan 

ENGAGE consultants offer a pragmatic and effective Process Quick Scan, resulting in AS IS and TO BE process maps for as many as 4 processes.

Workings

  • Making an inventory with the process owner or process manager

-    Workshop 1: ½ day

  • ENGAGE consultants explains the method for mapping the process
  • All roles involved in the execution of the process participate; maximum around 10 in the single workshop
  • Using ENGAGE Modeler, a beamer and a white background: Interactive mapping of the process, the AS IS situation;
  • Complete process map and process structure, sub processes, linked processes;
  • Role per process activity;
  • Parameters like: lead time, processing time, costs, etc. per process step and for the whole process;
  • Descriptions, notes, documents, activity types, input, output for each process step;
  • Calculation of process KPI’s.
  • Individual interview with each participant for gathering personal insights.

-    Workshop 2: ½ day

  • Finetuning the AS IS process map. Adding missing relevant data to the process map.

-    Workshop 3: ½ day

  • Explanation of several basic concepts of process improvement;
  • Making an inventory of potential low hanging fruit;
  • Redesign of the AS IS to reach a TO BE process map;
  • And/or: new design of a new process map starting from zero.

Set up

  • Time commitment by Engage! consultant: 5 working days in total; 10 half-days
  • Throughput time: within 10 calendar days
  • Pending on the size and structure of the customer organization, the Quick Scan can cover 1 large process or up to 4 smaller processes.
